ADSORPTION OF Fe (III) IONS ON MODIFIED ADSORBENT: ADSORPTION ISOTHERMS

This work is devoted to the synthesis of a new type adsorbent based on maleic anhydride styrene copolymer (MAST) and N,N`-diphenylguanidine (S) its modification with 4,4'-(ethane-1,2-diylbis(azanylylidene))bis(pentane-2-one) (S+R). Adsorption study Fe (III) ions this has been carried out. Effects pH value, contact time, ionic strength initial concentration metal adsorption capacity product have studied. In course research, several isotherms kinetic models studied equilibrium data found agree well pseudo-second-order model, model can describe process. The results best fit Langmuir isotherm model. studies shown that compared (S), for which was 404.88 mg/g, reagent-modified (S+R) shows higher over Fe(III) equal 890.68 mg/g.
